SAN CARLOS BORROMEO CHURCH

Entering the 20th century, the parish temple in honor of San Carlos Borromeo Inaugurated on November 4, 1891 located where today is the Children's Home, which collapsed to build a new church where the Hotel "La Paz" was located ” in one of the corners at the exit of our railway station.

The construction of the new church took nearly eighteen years, and it was inaugurated in November 1969 in a public act that included delegations from the district schools, the active forces of the locality, political and religious authorities, and the local Catholic flock.




THE SAN PABLO RETREAT MONASTERY

The San Pablo Retreat Monastery of the Passionist Fathers – known as “the Monastery” among the Irish – is located in a fifteen-hectare wooded park where there are various Monastery facilities, mainly the main retreat building, the San Pablo de la Cruz chapel , and the old San Patricio chapel, in addition to the Passionist Fathers cemetery and maintenance structures.





HOUSE OF CULTURE

Composed of the building of the old Railway Station, rehabilitated and enhanced with funds from the Program for the Recovery of Buildings of Historic Value in conjunction with the Institute of Culture and the Department of Architecture of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Public Services; The museum was opened in October 2005.

This building housed the House of Culture for a long time, a space that still exists and to which is added the House of the Craftsman and workshops for artistic activities such as drawing, painting, ceramics, pottery, acting, singing, among others.
